A service should be carried out on every Game Boy Color as a starting point for further work: Capacitors are wearing parts and should therefore be replaced with every retro console to prevent problems. This recapping kit contains all the necessary capacitors for the Game Boy Color.

In addition, the service kit contains 2 fuses and a 680uF capacitor especially for modded consoles: After installing various mods such as IPS Backlite LCD kits or audio upgrades, a relatively strong, permanent noise and similar symptoms can occur due to the associated increase in performance. Installing a higher quality capacitor can prevent these problems.
