Tips

The IPS kit can be installed without soldering, basic functions are controlled by the two touch sensors (brightness, color palette, scanline effect, battery icon)
To use the OSD menu with advanced control functions, it is necessary to solder 3 cables
Extensive modifications are required for installation in Original Shell and non-IPS Shell, see instructions
IPS Ready Shell can be used without modifications
As the LCD offers a larger viewing area than the original GBC LCD, correspondingly larger screen lenses are required. Original screens would obscure the image by a few mm on each side.
In order to be able to use the logo illumination, the shell must be modified accordingly or a clear shell must be used.

Touch control

Left sensor short press: Color palette
Left sensor long press: Pixel effects
Right sensor short press: Brightness
Right sensor long press: Battery display active/inactive

OSD control

Press and hold Select and A + B to activate the OSD menu
A and B scrolls through the lists
Select + A activates current option
Select + A saves the selection
Press and hold Select + B to close the OSD menu

ATTENTION: The Display must be tested BEFORE installation! Before you install the LCD kit, you first need to test it (dry run). It is important that the LCD is tested outside the shell BEFORE installation so that damage caused by the installation can be ruled out. Likewise, no adhesives must have been applied, LCD frames used or soldering work carried out. The LCD is very fragile and can be destroyed by even slight pressure. Complaints about kits that have already been installed will unfortunately have to be rejected without exception!
