Replacement volume control for GBC, GBP and GBA

Replace the volume potentiometer on your Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Color or Game Boy Advance console with a replacement potentiometer. This replacement can help if your current potentiometer is stiff or damaged, if there are problems with the contrast or if you notice crackling noises in the sound.

Tips

  • If you use the controller in a GBA, you must connect pins 2 and 3 as well as pins 4 and 5 (the pins are counted from the top)
  • If you are using the controller in a GBP for contrast or volume, shorten the pins accordingly before installation. For contrast, this potentiometer does not allow a full contrast range, whereby the white end cannot be fully maximized.
